Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:  

Today's image is a scene in the Z^(3.05)+C Mandeloid as it appears at ground level of the hyperladder with no function applied.  The prominent minibrot at the center is a near exact copy of the parent fractal, which has the same orientation.  Today's image is located in the blunt northern branch of the valley leading to the eastern bud.

I named the image "The Past Returns" because it is the kind of stuff I did long ago when I was just discovering fractals.  (Strangely enough, I am still just discovering them even today!)

The art rating of a 6 and math rating of a 5 shows that the image is a rather routine one, though the fireball calculation time of 30 seconds will take a lot of sting out of the task.  And as always, the web sites are ready to take all the sting from the calculation.

Dark clouds and blustery winds spoiled the day here at Fractal Central.  A little sun did manage to break through in the afternoon, but it was too little and too late.  The temperature of 55F 13C would have been fine had it not been for the clouds and wind.  The fractal cats had a relatively quiet day, except for a friendly tussle they got into around lunch time.  The fractal humans had a normal day of wondering what has gone wrong with the world in the 21st Century.

The next FOTD will be posted in roughly 24 hours.  But this is not etched in stone, so do not be too disappointed if it does not appear.  Until whenever, take care, and the latest breaking news on the missing airliner is that there is nothing new to report.
