Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's Hospital Interrogation: Guilt or Brainwashing?

"Why They Hate Us" Zakaria's Take on Terror

Is Someone Trying to Start a Race War?

The Battle between Left and Right
They Can’t All be False Flags,
Can They?

Are mass shootings the work of an evil government cabal?
Or is everyone just going crazy?

U.S. citizen Omar Mateen (49 dead) recently tried to break Norwegian Anders Brevik’s one-person mass-murder record (77 dead). Never let it be said that the U.S. is not competitive in the field of violence.

Mass shootings used to be few and far between. Then the media got into the act by offering 15 minutes of fame to every perpetrator. The more quirky the locale and the higher the body count, the more enduring the fame.

Then – some say – the government got into the act by creating false flag events, which are attributed to mentally ill loners, but are really planned and carried out by professionals. The motive: to create a fearful and compliant population, in true Orwellian style.

There are plenty of factors which could explain the rise of mass shootings without resorting to the false-flag explanation. Many of these factors can be traced to the workings of opportunistic capitalism.

Shockingly violent movies, video games, and pop “music” are routinely sold to young people. So are antidepressants, which studies have shown can decrease impulse control and increase violence in some people. Why do so many people need antidepressants? It sometimes feels like the whole nation is having a nervous breakdown.

We are dealing with a devil’s brew of daily urban gun violence (sometimes with multiple targets), frequent mass shootings attributed to lone nuts, terror acts attributed to lone nuts, terror acts attributed to organizations, and mass shootings which are also terrorism. And with FBI sting operations thrown into the mix, we have a blurring of the line between spontaneous real life and carefully orchestrated theatre.

The case for false flags. It is well documented that the FBI is fond of seeking out vulnerable, mentally unstable people (usually people with Muslim names) and egging them on to violence.

In one recent case, a man was targeted by the Feds and was led through a set of options which ranged from shooting up a couple of bars, to blowing up a college campus with pressure cooker bombs. (Sound familiar?) After helping him to buy weapons, they arrested him and bragged that they had “stopped another terror attack.”

It’s hard to know who is being led by the Feds, and who is simply being investigated. Omar Mateen was interviewed by the FBI, and was on a Terror Watch List. Oops. Maybe the Feds were too busy inventing terror plots to pick up on this real one? The same thing apparently – and embarrassingly – happened with accused Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

I am inclined to believe that the Tsarnaevs were framed, chiefly because of the bag-color problem and Dzhokhar's clueless behavior at the Forum. But many of the other oddities in the Tsarnaev case (and there are so many oddities) can also be explained if they were guilty patsies, who needed to be killed to keep them from telling what they knew about the larger plot. The Feds already knew Tamerlan; they did not need to beg the public for help to identify him. Why, then, send the brothers on a wild goose chase to Watertown and a deadly shootout? Remember, too, the suspicious killing of Ibragim Todashev by an FBI agent.

An eerie replay of the Watertown events happened after the 2015 San Bernardino tragedy – complete with a black van and a description of pipe bombs being thrown.  Another parallel: Syed Farook may have also been known to law enforcement and the FBI before the shootings.

A false flag appears very likely in this one. Consider that Daesh (commonly known in the U.S. as ISIS) praised the “three lions” who carried out the San Bernardino attack. They apparently got their information from witness accounts which described three tall athletic shooters in military gear. Somehow, these three lions morphed into one tall man and one short woman ... a magic trick to equal the transformation of Dzhokhar’s bag from white to black (or was it brown?).

That is the pattern in mass shootings which doubters have tagged as being false flags. (Examples: Paris, Sandy Hook, Aurora.) Other shooters are seen by witnesses, but these witnesses fall mysteriously silent as the patsy, who was somehow maneuvered onto the scene, takes the sole blame.

But they can’t all be false flags, can they? My first reaction to the Orlando shooting was “this one sounds real.” Witnesses saw the shooter, and only one shooter, and attested to his statements about U.S. foreign policy. I did wonder how one person could kill so many so quickly; but the simple answer is an automatic weapon in a crowded room.

However, only a few days after the shooting, witness reports of possible multiple shooters began to emerge. According to CIA whistleblower Robert David Steele: “I doubt responsible forensics will be done ... I am pretty sure that if it were, it would identify multiple weapons not found on the scene from the spent round signatures.”

Then it emerged that Mateen worked for G4S, a controversial “private, special operations military outfit.” Some have accused this company of being connected to the CIA, and being involved in carrying out staged terror attacks. That may or may not be true, but G4S does have a record of hiring brutal, unpredictable loose cannons, without too much vetting as to their mental stability.

The G4S connection may be a coincidence, as this is a large organization with many employees. But, as with many of these mass casualty events, it is possible to theorize that the unstable Mateen may have been used to “do a job” to further someone else’s agenda.

The dreaded ISIS connection. Like the San Bernadino suspects, Mateen supposedly pledged allegiance to ISIS during the attack. Steele’s comment: “The tape pledging allegiance to ISIS is patsy perfect.”

He might be right. Or not. Violent people who are mentally ill will latch onto all sorts of philosophies. God, or their “voices”, or the internet, or whoever, may tell them to punish abortionists, or start a race war, or inspire an anarchist revolution. The shooter’s religion of choice is strictly optional. Planned Parenthood shooter Robert Dear, for instance, was heavily into “Christian eschatology.” Anders Brevik described his religion as “Odinist.”

It isn’t that surprising that a shooter who has a Muslim name and ancestry – which is not the same thing as being a practicing Muslim – might buy into Daesh’s propaganda. This group has become the perfect bogeyman, eager to take credit for plane crashes, shootings and bombings wherever they happen. Military types who want a “30-year war” in the Middle East may be simply taking advantage of this opportunity for propaganda.

Someone recently showed me a YouTube video of an African American kid brandishing an automatic weapon and ranting about Trump, food stamps ... and his intention to join up with ISIS. It appears that the government’s bogeyman is becoming a general (non-sectarian) symbol of rebellion to quite a few disenfranchised people.

Ironically, it’s not much of a secret that the American “Deep State” virtually created ISIS in the first place, as part of its so-far-unsuccessful effort to overthrow Syrian President Bashir al-Assad. The technique: find a radical group, get weapons and soldiers to them, under the table if necessary, and point them in the right direction. Then if you are caught, you can complain, as Vice President Joe Biden did, that it’s all someone else’s fault.

Biden laid the blame on Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, telling a Harvard audience: “They were so determined to take down Assad and essentially have a proxy Sunni-Shia war, what did they do? They poured hundreds of millions of dollars and tens, thousands of tons of weapons into anyone who would fight against Assad – except that the people who were being supplied were al Nusra and al Qaeda and the extremist elements of jihadis coming from other parts of the world ... We could not convince our colleagues to stop supplying them.”

Yeah. It’s so hard to find good allies these days.

Was Mateen a lone nut or a patsy? I honestly don’t know.

Are all mass shootings the spontaneous acts of mentally ill loners? Or are at least some of them really false flags? Is a mentally ill government, not satisfied with creating endless wars overseas, now turning on its own people?

Or is this terrible outbreak of violence a combination of organized plotting and chaotic private madness? The picture that comes into my mind is that opportunistic Deep State sharks are being drawn to the blood which is already in the water.
