Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Blue-and-gold color schemes are some of my favorites.  These are my old school colors, so I rated today's almost totally blue and gold image at a lofty 8.

The name "The Missing Linque" has nothing to do with the study of language or the theory of evolution.  It is simply a reference to the arrangement of radiating arms around the central minibrot, some of which are doubled, while others are totally missing.  The spelling simply makes the name appear trendy, kind of like the junque (junk) FL and I come upon on our antiquing trips.

The image lies in what I assume is the Seahorse Valley of the parent fractal that results when the formula Z^(1.913)+C is iterated at level +7 of the complex logarithmic hyperladder and no function is applied.  1.913 just happens to be very close to the cube root of seven, but this is of no importance in the final appearance of the image.

At lunch time on Monday, FL expressed her disappointment with the lack of forceful action by SuperPresident B.O. to aid the oppressed struggling people of Egypt.  But to me the real puzzle is how so many otherwise intelligent people could have been gullible and naive enough to actually believe some kind of near-magical change was coming when B.O. was elected.  (Believe me, it's not easy learning to be as cynical as I have become over the years, but the cynical view usually turns out to be right!)

A mix of clouds and sun, with an unexpected temperature of 43F +6C, kept both the fractal people and the fractal cats happy here at Fractal Central on Monday.  The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours.  Until then, take care, and fill in the blanks of life with wisdom, or your life will be a blank.
