Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Like yesterday's parent fractal, the parent fractal of today's image is not a single large Mandeloid, but rather a scattering of Mandeloids of various sizes, with one main central Mandeloid surrounded by smaller Mandeloids.  Today's image lies in the detail in the vicinity of one of the smaller Mandeloids.

When I first saw today's color palette, I thought it had too much of an overall bluish cast, so I cut back on the blue while increasing the red and green.  Then I decided I liked the somber atmosphere created by the blueness, and returned to the original subdued blue version.

One would imagine that blue shades, with their higher frequency, would create a feeling of action, but for some reason, the exact opposite is true.  Fiery red hues create a feeling of hectic activity; blue hues create a feeling of calmness and serenity.

The name "Blue-Bluer-Bluest" simply comments on the blueness of the scene.  The rating of a 6 continues the streak of images just a little above average.  The calculation time of 1-1/3 minutes is fair enough, but the trip to the active FOTD web site
at:

http://www.emarketingiseasy.com/TESTS/FOTD/jim_muths_fotd.html

will require less effort.

The temperature of 36F +2C here at Fractal Central on Tuesday was made much more pleasant by the total sun and light winds.  The fractal cats took full advantage of the sun, spending the entire afternoon basking on their shelf in the southwest window.

My day was busy but still under control.  FL's day was uneventful also.  The next in the apparently endless series of FOTD images will be posted in 24 hours.  Until then, take care, and discover who and what you are.
