purple fractal eater

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

Today's image is a scene in an almost-Julia set of a point in a valley in the outskirts of its incredible parent fractal, which is a Mandelbrot set corrupted by Z^(-13) energies.

I named the image "Purple Fractal Eater".  Eating fractals is far more acceptable than eating people.  Fractals are in infinite supply, while people are not.  (Yes, I know the 'Purple People-Eater' song is over half a century old, but at least to me, an admitted old-timer, it still sounds a lot better than the 'pop' stuff they feed kids today, the only function of which, as far as I can see, is to satisfy the noise-addiction it first induces.)

I rated the image at a question mark, mostly because I have no idea what to make of it.  The calculation time is a very brief 8 seconds, which will bring no regret to those who make the effort to run the included parameter file and are then disappointed by what they see.

Typical midwinter weather prevailed here at Fractal Central today, with a strong wind drifting the three inches of snow that fell overnight into 18-inch, 45cm, drifts.  The temperature of 27F -3C felt notably colder due to the wind.  With no sunlight on their window shelf, the fractal cats spent most of the day by the heat.

My day began with clearing the fractal sidewalk, half of which was already blown clear, while the other half was covered by a snowdrift.  FL kept the coffee piping hot.  For a short time the cats watched the action with interest, but they soon got too cold by the window.  The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours.  Until then, take care, and would the real end of the world please stand up.
