Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:
Today's
image leaves
much to be desired, but we should consider ourselves lucky that the
FOTD is here at all. The day's fractal search went badly, and
other things that needed to be done piled up to cut short the
fractal-searching time. The result is an image that rates a
5-1/2, with 1/2 point due to the coloring.
The parent fractal is a result of mixing an infinitesimal part of
Z^(-257) with Z^2 on each iteration before adding C. The
parent
fractal is a stack of overlapping circular disks roughly arranged in
the shape of a Mandelbrot set. Today's scene is located in
what
would be the East Valley of the M-set.
The name "Fractal for Today" is basically no name at all. It
simply describes what is already obvious.
The calculation time of 2-1/2 minutes is good news. It means
that
little time will have been wasted if the fractalist doing the
calculation is disappointed.
A mix of sun and clouds, with a high temperature of 37F +3C made today
a day so unexceptional that it is best forgotten, as it probably will
be tomorrow. The fractal cats forgot the day before it
ended. The humans never remembered it to start.
The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours. One thing near
certain
is that, with today's image so lacking, tomorrow's can only be
better. Until then, take care, and believers know that God
exists, while Atheists know that God is only a superstition. To me this
means that it is possible to be wrong even when a person knows that he
is right.
