Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

I spent almost no time on today's image.  Most all day I was occupied with optimizing the fractal computer for the internet.  But I did find a moment to dredge up an image that is just good enough to reach FOTD status.

The parent fractal came about when I combined 0.1 part of Z^10 with 1 part of Z^1.5 and added straight C.  This parent resembles a Mandelbrot set rotated about 180 degrees, with a large open area beyond its East Valley (in this case, West Valley) and a curly filament serving as its main stem.  The image is located on this curly stem.

The name "Zippy the Minibrot" refers to the extreme speed of the image, which at a mere 6 seconds, is one of the fastest of all time.  Once again, I could not give the image an honest rating.

Partly cloudy skies, lower humidity and a temperature of 77F 25C made Thursday an ideal day here at Fractal Central.  At least the fractal cats must have thought so.  They deserted their cool spot on the kitchen floor and set up residence on the living room carpet.  My day was average.
