Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:
We
remain mired in
below-average ratings today, with an image that rates a
not-very-impressive 6.
Today's image shows a minibrot. It looks nothing at all like
a
typical quadratic minibrot however, because it's not one. It
is a
minibrot in the parent fractal that results when the formula Z^(1.09)+C
is iterated 86 levels up the complex logarithmic hyperladder with the
'floor' function applied.
This parent fractal is shaped much like today's minibrot. It
is
an oversized torpedo running southeast and leaving a trail of bubbles
behind it. Today's image is not located in the main part of
the
parent however. It lies in a tiny inconspicuous, disconnected
feature well north of the main body of the parent.
The name "They All Look the Same" came about when I remembered how
similar most of these very-low-order minibrots appear.
Basically,
they all look the same because they all are the same.
The calculation time of 3-3/4 minutes is slow, but the FOTD web sites
can eliminate the stress of losing almost 4 minutes when calculating a
fractal that rates a mere 6.
Lots of clouds, meager sun and a temperature of only 68F 20C gave the
humans ample things to grumble about here at Fractal Central.
The
fractal cats spent most of the time assaulting their cat cubes, and had
no time to worry about the weather. The next FOTD will be
