Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

For some reason, today's image reminded me of a caterpillar, so I named it "Caterpillar Fractal".  The rating of a 6 is just a little above average.

The image is almost a Julia set of the Z^(1.5)+C Mandeloid.  It is not a true Julia set because I have rotated the slice a small bit from the true Julia orientation.  The rotation is less than one degree, but to see the difference such a small rotation can make, change the four p1 and p2 parameters to 90.  This will show the true Julia set.

A fine late winter day on Wednesday here at Old Fractal Central pleased the aging fractal cats.  Partly cloudy skies with a temperature of 50F 10C and little wind made conditions in the yard quite pleasant.  The duo spent over two hours outside, watching for intruding cats.

Meanwhile, inside FC, the work was heavy but under control.  The next FOTD fractal is expected in 24 hours.  And unless something arises that would prevent it, the fractal actually will appear as scheduled.  Until that awesome moment arrives, take care, and don't get awe-struck too soon.
