Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:  

Today's image shows one of the richest order-7 minibrots I have yet turned up.  It lies in the remains of the northern branch of Seahorse Valley of the large minibrot on the main spike of the parent Mandelbrot set, which is just beginning to morph from quadratic to order-7.  The minibrot has been caught about half way through the morphing process, and is quite indescribable.

I named the image "Extra-Rich Seven" because of the unusual richness of the central minibrot.  This richness earns the image an art rating of a 7, while the math aspect earns an excellent 8.

The very fast calculation time of 30 seconds has rarely been exceeded in FOTD history, but there is still the need to set up and run the parameter file.  This minor chore can be eliminated by checking the FOTD web sites.

The day began cloudy here at Fractal Central.  The sky cleared in the afternoon, but despite the sun, the temperature never rose above 19F -7C.  The fractal cats unexciting adventures continued as they enjoyed the sun on their shelf for several hours in the afternoon.  The humans were sullen and grouchy most of the day.
