Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: 

Today's image lies in the same parent fractal as yesterday's, but instead of being found near the tiny bud at the eastern extremity, it is located in a valley of a strange-shaped minibrot near the center of a ragged island in the center of the main bay of the parent Mandeloid.

I named the image "Injured Starfish".  The resemblance to a starfish with missing arms is quite striking.

The rating of 7-1/2 includes a half-point bonus for the extra effort necessary to bring out the starfish resemblance.

The calculation time of 1-3/4 seconds is a bit slow.  But this is no need to worry.  The web sites will make the access near instant.

Lots of clouds and occasional showers left today with a lot to be desired here at Fractal Central.  The fractal cats, much less active than the old fractal cats, took it easy most of the day.  The humans, always active, had a typical day with a lot to do but nothing to report.  There will be no FOTD for September 29, since I'll be going back to Old Fractal Central to check things.

Most likely, the next FOTD will be posted on September 30, but as always, there is no guarantee given or implied.  Until whenever, take care, and a skeptic told me that I am merely a temporary and meaningless accident, and I found that science mostly agrees with him.  Then I turned to a religious minister and found that if I do not accept something I cannot possibly believe, I will burn forever in a lake of fire called hell.  With all this hopeless and frightening news, I can now see why people need the latest technological gadgets to distract them from such a harsh reality.
