Unusual
Themed Word Puzzles
DO NOT
start with Clue #1, etc. That is the long, slow way to solve CrosScan.
Instead, begin
working with the letter block to find all the words that you can. Then
find a clue to match each word, and check off the words as you find
them. Be sure to find the correct clue before circling the word,
because there are words that do not match any clue.
It is recommended that you start looking for diagonal words
first, as these will be more difficult to spot after you have begun to
circle words.
When
you have
found enough words, the theme of the puzzle will begin to emerge. When
you have figured out the theme, you might want to start working
partially from the list of clues. These will steer you to additional
words in the letter block.
Bear
in mind
that we love word play. Our clues will be trying to mis-direct you away
from the theme. For instance, if the theme is
“Furniture,” you may find clues such as
"lead a
meeting" (chair) or "garden plot" (bed).
May you have many hours of puzzling fun!
