zexpe mystery

Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:

There was no FOTD for the 11th.  FL and I took the day off antiquing and hiking.  But there certainly is a FOTD for the 12th, and here it is.

The image is another 7-rated scene in the Zexpe fractal.  The location is perilously deep in one of the filaments extending from the period-5 bud on the northwest shore line of the main bay.

I named the image "Zexpe Mystery" because even though the exponent of Z is fractional, the image holds no apparent discontinuities.  The laws of mathematics remain intact however, since the breaks certainly are there.  I merely concealed them.

There are eight apparently unbroken arms radiating from the central minibrot and spreading out beyond the edges of the image.  Inside these eight arms we find 22 smaller, apparently unbroken arms.  22 is very close to 8*(e), which is just what would be expected.  (The next inner ring should contain around 60 arms, though I have not counted them.)

The very brief calculation time of 30 seconds will eliminate the risk of impatience for those who find Zexpe images boring.

Tomorrow's FOTD will show a scene in one of the other Zexpe fractals.  After all, with the complex log function having an infinity of values, an infinity of Zexpe fractals actually exist.

Pleasant weather prevailed here at Fractal Central today, with partly cloudy skies, low humidity and a temperature of 81F 27C.  The fractal cats enjoy such conditions and showed their pleasure by a burst of kittenish behavior.  The humans passed the day recovering from yesterday's trek.  The next FOTD will be posted in 24 hours.  Until then, take care, and don't worry too much about whether God exists or not.  These might not be the only two possibilities.
