August 13, 2012: A Different Zexpe | Aug. 12 | Aug. 14 | 2012 | FOTD Home |
Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:
Today's
image is
another Zexpe minibrot. I named it "A Different Zexpe"
because
the parent fractal is one of the infinity of alternate Zexpe fractals,
this one from 1.5 levels up the hyperladder with the recip function
applied.
Today's Zexpe parent is rotated so that the upper half, which is pretty
much intact, faces northeast. The lower half faces southwest,
but
it is so distorted by discontinuities that the parts are barely
recognizable. Today's scene lies in the East Valley of a much
less distorted minibrot lying some distance southwest of the main body
of the parent.
The rating of a 7 is average. The series of Zexpe fractals
continues bringing adequate but unexceptional images. The
calculation time of 40 seconds will make impatience very unlikely
however.
Partly cloudy skies and a temperature of 82F 28C made today a near
normal one for mid-August here at Fractal Central. The
fractal
cats' big thrill came when a stray cat we call 'Mister Cool' wandered
by. Our dynamic duo watched him from their window with their
tails thrashing, sending him on his way.
The humans had a typical day, with no thrashing tails
involved.
The next FOTD will be posted when an appropriate amount of time has
passed. Until whenever, take care, and one second of time is
186,000 miles of the fourth dimension of space perceived from a
different angle and measured in a different way.
