Today's image reminds me of a wheel in the sky, which is what I named it.  It could be the 24-hour earth's rotational wheel of the days or the 30-day lunar wheel of the months.  It could even be the 365-day annual wheel of the earth's orbit, or maybe the 24,000-year Astrological wheel of the precession of the signs of the zodiac.  But whatever it might be, there is definitely a wheel spinning at the center of the star field of today's image.

The parent fractal is a rather unpleasant thing, resembling a Mandeloid with a tumor.  Today's scene lies near the tip of the valley that intersects the Negative X-axis.  The art rating of an 8 makes the image worth a look, at least in my opinion.  The math rating of a 6 shows that nothing new is to be found in the math.

Most of the star-field effect was created by rendering the image with the outside set to 'fmod' and the default proximity value of 0.01 in effect.

The calculation time of 4-3/4 minutes lies at the extreme edge of convenience.  The web sites can increase convenience however.

Heavy clouds and a midwinter-like chill kept things suppressed here at Fractal Central today.  The temperature of 41F +5C made topcoats necessary for those who ventured outside, and made heat necessary for the fractal cats, even though they never venture outside.  The fractal humans amused themselves checking the various conspiracies supposedly being fomented by the government.

The next FOTD will be posted in the not-too-distant future, and that's no conspiracy theory.  Until the next FOTD arrives, take care, and beware of the plots of the evil dark cabal that is actually running the world.
